Blessing Hospital is a major participant and financial underwriter of the Family Practice Residency Program, which is conducted by Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
The three-year program, run out of the
Quincy Family Practice Center, trains medical school graduates in the specialty of family practice. About 40 percent of those completing the Quincy program have chosen to continue to practice in Quincy area communities.
