Current tuition for Blessing Hospital School of Medical Laboratory Technicians is $4,000. Arrangements may be made to pay the tuition in two semester installments.
Students are responsible for the purchase of textbooks and the cost of required medical examinations and vaccinations. The average cost of textbooks for 2010 students was $800 to $1,000. Students must also furnish professional uniforms and duty shoes for their clinical experiences.
Meals are available at reduced rates through the hospital cafeteria. Out of town students must seek their own housing and/or transportation.
Financial Aid
After acceptance into the School of Medical Laboratory Technicians, students are instructed to contact the Financial Aid Officer of Blessing Rieman College of Nursing to determine eligibility for financial assistance. Aid is awarded based upon academic excellence and demonstration of financial need. Aid is available from the following programs: Stafford Loan, PELL Grant and PLUS program. Additional information and forms may be obtained directly from the Blessing Rieman College of Nursing Financial Aid office.
Students are reminded that they may not obtain aid from two institutions during the same academic semester.
Tuition Refunds
Students withdrawing from the School of MLT must formally notify the program director in writing. A copy of the withdrawal form will be forwarded to BRCN Financial Aid office. Full tuition will be charged if the student does not make a formal withdrawal. Full tuition will be charged if the student is dismissed for disciplinary reasons.
Withdrawals within the first six weeks of the program will have the semester’s tuition reduced according to the following prorated chart. The MLT program retains the $100 acceptance fee, regardless of the timing of the withdrawal.
