Our mission
The mission of the Quincy Hospitality House is to provide affordable temporary lodging for patients and their loved ones accessing healthcare in Quincy, showing compassion and caring to those we serve.
This non-profit, volunteer organization was established in 1998 by Blessing Hospital, Blessing Volunteers In Partnership and the Adams County Medical Society Alliance. It is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors, volunteer staff, and the Blessing Hospital Volunteer Services Department.
The Quincy Hospitality House is a proud member of the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Hospital Hospitality Houses.
Who can stay
Guests must be a patient or visitor/caregiver of a patient currently receiving medical care in the Quincy area.Patients receiving outpatient treatment must be ambulatory and accompanied by a support person at all times while residing in the House. Medical care includes hospitalization, one day surgery, outpatient testing and procedures, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, hospice care, and dialysis. Please call the House at 228-3022 if you have questions about eligibility.
Rooms are also open for Day Use, such as for a nap and shower, until 6 pm, based on availability.
Because of space and safety concerns, the Hospitality House cannot accommodate children under the age of five. The House is not handicapped accessible. The House is a smoke-free facility and does not allow pets. Private baths are not available. If our house does not accommodate your special needs, the volunteer on duty can provide you with information on local alternative lodging options.
